60 years ago, Wout Post, the founder of MOTIP, started using paint in his
father's barn in Valkenburg, the Netherlands. As a student, he wanted to earn a
little extra money and decided to sell pots of paint. His interest in paint
developed and he started experimenting with mixing pigments himself. The
self-mixing of pigments went so well that, in addition to decorative paints,
Post also started to make paints for vehicles. Paint pots were replaced with
aerosol cans and small bottles, which made it much easier to repair damage to a
car's paintwork. The name of Post changed to MOTIP, which means “bottles of
paint for quick do-it-yourself car repairs.” The paint is now available in
almost all original car colors. MOTIP has expanded its product line with even
more aerosols for even more purposes. Whether the car is damaged, the vehicle
needs to be maintained, or the paint is needed for work, MOTIP products can be
used to remove scratches, make wheel rims look like new again, lubricate and
maintain various mechanisms.
