BLUE WONDER is a typically Dutch company whose products are sold in a large
number of supermarket and pharmacy chains throughout Europe.
The history of BLUE WONDER dates back to 1946 in the port of Eemuiden. The
Blue Wonder product is used for powerful cleaning of ship decks and floors of
fishing boats and fish auctions.
In the 70s and 80s, chemist Mr. Groenhof developed a new and unique formula
for BLUE WONDER, significantly improving the high-cleaning detergent for
professional use.
In the 1990s, BLUE WONDER found its way to the consumer through
demonstrations of the product's real-world effect on soiled surfaces at fairs
and exhibitions.
Since 2014, BLUE WONDER has been actively promoting its products to the
consumer, introducing various product lines and simultaneously changing their
design. In 2018, BLUE WONDER developed a disinfectant line of sprays and wipes,
and the BLUE WONDER disinfectant cleaner became the only bacteria-killing
cleaner on the market. The company also joined the Fairwater Foundation to help
children with clean drinking water in problematic regions.
After the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, disinfection became even more
important. The BLUE WONDER surface cleaner became the only bacteria-killing
product (CtgB approval) approved for use in supermarkets in the Netherlands,
In 2020, BLUE WONDER is focusing on reducing the use of plastic: reuse
instead of recycling. At the same time, all plastic used by the company for
packaging its products is 100 % recyclable. To
reduce harmful emissions, BLUE WONDER has developed and introduced innovative
packaging for its products: RE-USE capsules and RE-USE sticks to reuse empty
bottles and reduce the amount of transport for delivery.
Thanks to its particularly effective cleaning power, BLUE WONDER has a large following and is the number one cleaner in the Netherlands.
